Thought I’d do something fun today. Thought ChatGPT might have thrown in a cryptic clue or two, or maybe another alliteration!
There once was a lady called Chrissy,
Who made cryptic crosswords so twisty,
Her clues were so sly,
That even the sharpest mind would sigh,
And say “what on earth is she saying, missy?”
But Chrissy just smiled with delight,
As solvers struggled day and night,
To crack the codes,
And fill in the loads,
Of squares, both dark and light.
One day a man approached her,
And said “your crosswords make me stir,
With frustration and confusion,
I can’t find the solution,
It’s like a never-ending blur!”
Chrissy chuckled and said with a grin,
“Ah, that’s the point, my friend within,
For if they were too easy,
It wouldn’t be so pleasing,
To complete the puzzle and win.”
So if you ever attempt Chrissy’s cryptic crosswords,
Just remember to use all your brain reserves,
And when you finally complete one,
You’ll feel like you’ve won,
The biggest prize that anyone deserves!
