Russian Roulette

Anyone who knows the agony of the hot water running out when you are stood in the shower will appreciate this!

Oh, the joys of using gas to heat,
Your water, oh so neat.
But getting in the shower is quite the feat,
Like playing Russian Roulette, you can’t be beat.

Will the gas run out today,
And leave you shivering in dismay?
Or will it hold out, just for one more day,
And let you bathe in hot water, hooray!

You turn on the tap with bated breath,
Hoping for warmth, not a cold death.
But alas, the gas runs out, and you’re left,
Standing there, naked and bereft.

Oh, how you curse and how you wail,
As you shiver and shake, like a beached whale.
But it’s your own fault, you can’t deny,
For not checking the gas, oh my, oh my.

So, if you want to avoid this pain,
And not leave things to chance today,
Check your gas, don’t hesitate,
Or risk a cold shower, mate.
